Throw Back...

It seems crazy to claim that I feel old, because I am not. But the children I'm watching love movies. The last couple we have viewed were The Lion King, Peter Pan and High School Musical. Growing up, I was a total Disney movie child and loved to be any princess I could. But watching these movies in HD BlueRay as an adult changes everything I thought about these crazy movies. I loved watching them and couldn't have been more pleased with the feeling of actually being in Africa with the lions. I never thought I wouldn't be able to relate to a new generation, but this whole fad with the silly bands seems crazy to me. Of course, the first thing they show me is their new collection. Well, needless to say I currently have five on my wrist.

Many of you I'm sure have children, so you will be able to relate, but if you don't let me take you on an adventure. 3 children, one is an infant...at the beach in 90 degree weather. This was one of the most exciting, yet difficult trips of my life. So many things to remember to take toys, food, diapers, water, suncreen, towels, floaties....it goes on and on. Luckily one of my best friends, who happens to be their cousin, was with us. Without her, this adventure may have gone a little crazy. After everything was out on the beach and everyone was sun protected, we had a BLAST. The Naples beaches are beautiful and everyone had fun. It was a wonderful mini trip and totally worth all the check lists and morning packing. I'm sure many of you mothers or babysitters are nodding your head at this paragraph, all in fun.

I have to admit this blog is not easy to keep updated. I feel like a blogger failure because I just haven't had time to update it. Does anyone else have that issue? I'm going to try really hard to post some fun things on here. Being home is much different than I thought it would be, family time is awesome! I have had the opportunity to hang out with my friends a lot and I'm even getting a chance to go on a minivaca this weekend. It's a wonderful life in paradise.

The Start of a Wonderful Thing...

This is my first entry of my first personal blog. What a crazy point in life to be starting a blog. I am a college student getting ready to graduate with my bachelors in Elementary Education in December from the University of Florida. Go Gators! I will then continue on 1 extra year to get my masters in the same program. It's a very intense, quick program, but totally worth the savings in time.

Although school is a main part of my life, my current residence is in Naples, FL the place I grew up essentially. I moved here in 4th grade and graduated from high school here in '07. If any of you have been to Naples you know that kind of upscale life that is usually led here. This town is run by golf courses, shopping havens, beaches and private country clubs. I fit perfectly into this oasis, but would never be able to move back permanently. (although they say "never say never") The reason I am here for the next month or so is to be a nanny.

I couldn't be more excited about this position and finally got to meet the kids today! For the blog purpose they will be B. and E. and M. They are precious and actually happen to be one of my best friends family members. I couldn't be more excited to share this adventure with ya'll, as well as other things in life as they happen. So join me as we take this adventure...
