Day Dreaming

Don't we all love to daydream? Today, I'm day dreaming about Italy! I took a trip there my summer before my junior year of high school and have been wanting to go back ever since. My mom's side of the family is Italian and it's def where I get my "look". Learning about other cultures is SUPER fun, especially when it's your own heritage.
So, what are you day dreaming about today?

i look so young! this is in Venice.

Chicken is a Friend of Mine

So today was a very interesting day, to say the least. When I got home from class I decided I really wanted to make something yummy for dinner. Usually I watch what I eat pretty closely, when I can. It runs in my family to have a little junk in the trunk. (roll my eyes) Anywho, tonight I said to hey with it, I want something yummy. The follow is what I made: Breadcrumb encrusted chicken with whole grain rice, steamed broccoli with a dijon ceaser balsamic sauce....
Egg wash and bread crumbs....

Boneless, skinless chicken, cut into strips... EVOO on high, very thin...
I like to let them rest for a minute, this is my favorite fashion...
Tada! So easy and super yummy!

ps. I LOVE steamed broc and this is out of a bag! Super easy!

The rice is whole grain too, pretty healthy for you!

This is an up close shot of the awesome chicken...hungry yet?
Always add a class of my favorite "wine", or as I say alcoholic fruit juice...
Voila! Yummy meal, super fast and really fun!

Whats your favorite chicken dish?

Button It Up....

What? Well I have been following this new blogger for a couple months now and her blog name is Button It up. She just so happens to be one of my best friends. (we have a little group of besties) She is SUCH a fahsionista and majoring in Apparel Design and Technology and Retail Merchandising and Product Development....aka Fashion! She loves visual merchandising and has a sweet internship this summer in NYC. Needless to say, her blog is about to get even better. (if that is possible) Below are some pictures of us, some she is going to kill me for and some cute ones. We have been friends since high school and everything between that and our soon to be graduations from college, has been a crazy roller coaster. This is her blog...Button It Up PS. we go to rival colleges in Florida...that is always fun! (Go Gators!)
This is in 2006 at a friend's house. We look so young! (she is in the beige)

This is 2007, on our senior spring break to Key West! (she is on the left)

This is 2009, at my 21st birthday bash!

This was in 2010 for her 21st birthday, my first time to "the other school"
This is from this past January in Miami, I blogged this event a couple months ago

Yesterday evening I got to talk to her about a fashion show she did raising money for cancer research. What a special, beautiful and bright person to be so close to!

Do you have the time?

New obsession: watches. I've gone my whole life, excluding the ages 5-8 when I had a digital Minnie Mouse watch, completely against watches. I have always had my phone and never needed a watch. As I finished undergrad, I began thinking that it might be time to get a watch. I would be taking a teacher position shortly after this next year and needed to have the time, without having my phone. I ended up getting my first watch that I actually saw on the Just Dandy Blog! It's an Invicta and I'm in love with it! Now, I feel as though I have to have a watch on and I have started falling in love with other watches. Michael Kors is a personal fav in designer land and the following are some MK and a Burberry I just adore!
Who is your favorite watch designer?

Vegas Baby!

Forewarning on this post, lots of pictures!
Finally getting to post pictures for y'all from my Vegas trip! Explanation for not blogging: Vegas for a week, Naples for a week, School for a few, Naples for the weekend and finally a month later, I'm back at school...for a short time at least. What a crazy trip we had in Vegas. Lots of meetings, lots of food and lots of fun! Here are some pictures that I hope capture the awesome time we had. I'll give you a little OOTD for each picture if I am in it!

This picture was taken the minute I walked into our HUGE suite. I had this whole room to myself with a huge bathroom that I had way too much fun dancing in.
This picture was taken on the walking bridge from our hotel, Planet Hollywood, to the conference hotel The Cosmopolitan. I thought this look was SO business and those heels meant business, ouch! OOTD: Ralph Lauren dress shirt, WHBM Pencil Skirt and black pumps.

This was the first night we got out on the town, we had a chance to tour all the hotels, which I realized are all connected underground. Kinda creepy! It was pretty chilly, but we had a blast!
OOTN: Gap striped tank, white pashmina, Liz Claiborne coat and Nine West boots.

After the conference was over we had a chance to tour during the day, this was down by the New York hotel, I posed for a fun shot in front of the Coca Cola bottle.
OOTD: Gap cardigan and Gap Jeans. Oh yeah! This is my new favorite bag btw, Target find! :)
This was another day of hotel spotting, we ate at Wolfgang's restaurant in the Venetian. Can I say yummm? My family knows him from opening his first restaurant in Otown and he is one cool guy! It was fun to eat at another restaurant of his!
OOTD: Gap jeans, Target sweater wrap and JCrew Skinny Belt

Best. Night. Ever. This night we got to see the "O" show from Cirque. (The night before we saw their "Ka" show. Both amazing!) This picture was taken at Lavo. I really wanted to try this nationally known restaurant and it didn't hurt that Mario Lopez was there! Just so happened we ended up seeing Andy Samberg as well. What a cool restaurant and yummy! This picture is taken on the way up to their nightclub, very cool set up!
OOTN: Saks Black Satin Dress and Black pumps.
Last day in crazytown we drove out to the mountains! I could see them from my room the entire trip and wanted to get out to them! So my Dad, his partner and I packed up a little mini car and headed out! This picture is at the Hoover Dam. What a cool experience!
OOTD: JCrew Long sleeve and Red Pashmina. Very sporty!
This was another mountain we got to, and found SNOW! As you all may know I'm a Florida girl and even the sight of snow makes me giggle. As we drove the snow became very visible. This was a mountain lodge we ate dinner at, can I say yumm again? Too much good food.
It was at trip I will never forget and time I got to spend with my wonderful father. We had lots of fun and lots of good food. I would recommend this trip for anyone for fun! Make sure you take a drive out to the mountains, it was way too pretty to pass up!
